Back to Minte Enterprise

Governance, deployment, and continuity

Infrastructure and operations

Minte manages your deployment on IONOS or on your own hardware. On IONOS, we use managed Kubernetes and configure the necessary nodes and resources. On your own hardware, we also deploy Kubernetes, which requires greater implementation effort and cost.

Depending on the project, the solution may include object storage (buckets), an image registry, and IONOS AI as a service. Included services, their location, and operating responsibilities are specified in the proposal.

Models, residency, and retention

The IONOS deployment offering keeps storage, processing, and backups in the EU. In the GPU offering described, the inference service does not retain queries or responses. This is separate from the knowledge, history, and logs kept by Minte. Optional external providers and connections require evaluation of their own residency and retention terms.

Models are added after compatibility, task quality, and infrastructure capacity have been validated. Switching models may require adjusting instructions and tools; switching embedding models may require reindexing knowledge.

Licensing, delivery, and continuity

The license covers the companies identified in the contract and includes the first year of maintenance. Annual renewal is optional; without renewal, you retain use of the installed version without subsequent Minte support, patches, or improvements. Maintenance includes all improvements to the base platform.

Plugins are contracted separately. Acquired versions of Minte plugins can also continue to be used without renewing maintenance, without subsequent support, patches, or improvements. Third-party dependencies retain their own terms.

Delivery of executable images or the version’s source code is contracted with specific pricing and usage terms for authorized companies. Both options allow custom plugin development. Source access is not presented as an open-source license.

Documentation is available from the start, and access belongs to the customer. When Minte’s management ends, a complete handover enables the customer to take over the infrastructure and their IONOS account. The delivered version does not require periodic license checks or connections to Minte servers to operate. Infrastructure and external service costs remain.

Do I need to buy a GPU?

Not necessarily. An installation using external providers may not need a GPU for inference. For private inference, you can use your company’s hardware or contract a GPU through Minte on IONOS. We size resources according to models, load, and expected response times.

Can we work without sending information to external services?

Yes, we offer air-gapped deployments as custom projects, with models and processing inside the customer’s infrastructure. All necessary components are verified to operate without external connections. Integrations with third-party services outside that environment, such as SharePoint in Microsoft 365, must be disabled or replaced with internal alternatives.

Can I separate companies, departments, or projects?

The platform supports organizational spaces with separate data and access. The base model uses logical isolation; when requirements demand a stronger boundary, a separate installation is evaluated.

Does Minte Enterprise guarantee compliance in my industry?

Compliance by design means controls and traceability are part of the architecture. Compliance in a specific case also depends on configuration, organizational processes, and the evidence required. Certifications are stated only when accredited and with their scope.

Is there a plugin marketplace?

The marketplace is part of our future vision. Extensions are arranged for each installation, with their scope, compatibility, and support terms. It is not presented as an open catalog available today.

Do I need source code access to create my own plugins?

No. You can develop your own plugins with both executable images and contracted source code access. Your version’s source code has specific pricing and usage terms for authorized companies. Extensions must be compatible with your installation’s version and operate under platform permissions.

Who maintains the installation?

Minte manages the customer’s deployment on IONOS or on their own hardware. On IONOS, we use managed infrastructure services; on customer hardware, we also deploy the necessary foundation, increasing implementation effort and cost. The proposal specifies maintenance, update, and support responsibilities.
